I wanted this painting to feel playful and full of childlike wonder—where rosy cheeks, cozy scarves, and a good pair of boots are all you need for a perfect day. The little girl leaning in with a giggle, face to face with her carrot-nosed creation, just made me smile the whole time I painted it. Her orange and blue echoes the snowman’s scarf and hat, like they were meant to be best friends from the start. And the lavender snow?
